The Urban Collaborative
The Urban Collaborative is a national network of more than 100 school districts. These leaders are committed to increasing effective and inclusive special education services. They are also focused on decreasing the disproportionality of culturally and linguistically diverse student populations in classification rates, separate educational environments and disciplinary actions. Members of our professional learning community learn from and support each other to achieve these goals.

The Urban Collaborative is officially joining forces with ALL IN for Inclusive Education. This union brings together two nationally recognized organizations with deep expertise and a shared, unwavering dedication to equity and inclusion.
This move is more than a strategic alignment—it’s an innovative model for systemic change. By combining our networks, resources, and learning communities, we are reimagining how national organizations can work together to accelerate progress. This union allows us to operate with greater coherence, reach, and responsiveness as we work to scale inclusive practices across states, districts, and schools.

Mission
Our mission is to improve educational outcomes and life opportunities for children and youth with disabilities in urban schools through leadership development.
We work with school districts by sharing and influencing knowledge, research and policy to increase inclusive special education services in schools and decrease the disproportionate representation of culturally and linguistically diverse students in classification rates, separate educational environments and disciplinary actions. We believe that improving education for children with disabilities improves education for all students.
